I didn't exactly say that either. i only said that one has to be careful thats all....
I was voicing objections, pointing out that not every fan page out there is automaticly a promoting page. at least not actively only passively, and that that is totally fine and shouldn't neccesarily be changed but to be considered.
because for me it looked that in the previous discussions in this thread that hasn't been considered much and I wanted to contribute a hopefully useful thought.

I fail to see how that is snobbish, although I admittet it could be arrogant jealousy from my side that i don't want to see the term streetteam watered down.

How would be watered down? I don't get it :)

Oh and we not gonna make all FB pages etc ST. I am just going through the most up to date active pages that promote CrashDiet if they want to help promote them further that's all.

well, if those pages that are now , for lack of better word "Crashdiet appreciation pages" get the stamp "Streetteam".

I am into these pages just as a member, but not as an admin, but i think we must leave "Streeteams" and "fanpages" separate, as maybe streetteams are more involved in promoting... Well not everyone has the opportunity to walk around and spread flyers and stuff, but maybe you can do the same on the internet getting in touch with clubs or anything else.. im not so practical of these things as i rarely did it before, but i'd like to give some help.

I think this hits the nail on the head... Street Teams are simply meant to be the most die hard fans that do promotional work for the band and really get out there and try and spread the Crashdiet brand to more people. Some other fan pages may do that already and should be considered to be added to our list of "Street Teams" While others may not be interested in doing it so we can create a different "Street Team" page that can still work with the fan page, but will also be independent of the fan page because the people involved with the "Street Team" are supposed to be the ones that are doing more work on the promoting rather than appreciating.

And I think that is all that Viper was trying to express in her posts!

Yeah I think Anna & Bex are kinda misunderstanding each other a little here, Bex is on fire and I love that haha, and Anna's feedback is extremely valuable to me. Keep posting, I love to read your opinions.

Justin Kicks wrote: I really like the idea of having all the ones rooted to this forum here linked or referenced to each other in some fashion! A visual similarity or stamp sounds like the perfect idea..

Thank you for the feedback, nice to know that my idea of having thise place as a hub makes sense for you people too :).

Justin Kicks wrote: As far as the U.S. Team goes... I have created a fresh one considering the old one seemed pretty dead and I couldn't get in contact with the owner of that page.

Cool, yeah as a general rule I think it's fine to create a new page if the owner is un-reachable. Every page needs to be active yes.

Justin Kicks wrote: It is similar to the whole point system just created here for the forum, but a little more street team promotion orientated. To explain this quickly I plan on offering to personally buy something off of the Crashdiet webshop to any street team member of the page for gaining the most points over a period of time and possibly smaller prizes to smaller point earners. To earn points you can share and promote the street team page throughout the internet, print out flyers and plaster Crashdiet material all across the city that you live in, and various other promotional type things to be worked out!

Cool, I have a idea of giving merch gift certificates for every action. I don't know how much yet, but let's say for example that every time you go to this forum and upload pictures of a few places were you have put our flyers and stickers I'll send you a coupon worth of let's say €10. We'd need some sort of system though, I mean if someone puts 1 sticker each day for 10 days on 1 bus stop it wouldn't make sense to gain 1x€10 from that, etc, you know what I mean :).

What do you guys think? I just feel that it would be nice to give something back.

yeah thats about what I was trying to say :P

As for giving something back and a system...I think it is very very hard to come up with a fair direct rewards system like merch coupons...
I proposed this before I think but how about something that is only available for streetteam people?
Like shirts, for the production price or, in special cases, for free? like, streetteam shirts for exemple?

I dunno, I just have to think of Turbojugend and their Kutten.. something that is special, rare and that sort of says "You did something great" taht you can wear with pride.
For as cheap as possible, production price kinda, or for free even depending on what it is.
I think this already would give people something back because it shows appreciation.

so if someone does something cool he can get a "acces" code by the band or maybe some of the streetteam admins.
hmm.
I dunno.
it probably isn't easy to pull of either... will let this process my brain too...

I guess ths Crashdiet Army is more like a general thing for everyone... And Finland has just that group...so maybe it's better to make a page?
What would you prefer?

please connect with Jeppe and see what he thinks, i would love to have him on board as he done a great job of his page. See whats with the group also. If no good, then set up a page :)

I did...have to get back to him tomorrow evening and ask him again. Anyway I still think that it sould have as name Crashdiet Streetteam Finland, that we know WHERE it belongs and to make it easier for the people. This army seems kinda international, but I will ask him and I will also talk to Mimz and see what we can figure out about it.

Cool idea, yeah we can definitely make a street team member exclusive shirt, that is a great idea, and a patch maybe.

All one would need to do to get this shirt would be to be kinda active at these forums, FB and once in a while let us know about their recent crazy street team activities :)

Makes sense or?

That is exactly what my idea is as well as some online promotion Earn some points for doing this and at the end of the campaign I'll just personally buy them something off the webstore! My main goal aside from promotion is to just make the Street Team active and work on expanding the brand.. which is what my definition of a "Street Team" member is. Because sometimes people join and then that is the extent of the activity.

I think this idea is phenomenal.. Just a little extra something for the people who are out there promoting and working hard. Something they can wear with pride and it'll let them know that the band does appreciate their work

I agree with Vale, as Elisa does as well! The Italian page is ready to become a street team, so spreading the word with printed flyers for venues/cities/ etc etc and all the stuff involved! We're in with pleasure, we already wrote it last week!
Please, let us know if we have to write to the other Crashdiet page, that is a bit dead actually, and if we have to link it to ours OR if you decide to leave fanpages and street teams apart :)

This is my point exactly :) There are fans pages out there that should be given the chance to become a ST and that's what i'm looking into. If they're not interested that when we create ST :) It just sounded like that these fans pages should not be given the chance (That's what wound me up).

Okay if he's not interested then go ahead, I would have loved to have him on board as he would be the best one to know on his page, where is the most populay city/country on his page. Yeah but don't buy anything man, I'll send something cool for free :). It'll be easier once our US web shop is up & running too, hopefully in early January already!

Well either way.. I just figured offering some sort of reward would generate some interest and I obviously couldn't be guarantee anything unless I was willing to dish out some money.

That makes perfect sense! And I agree with all you guys said before. It would be great to take photos of the stickers, poster and all the promotion we do out in the streets.
I also think that I would be perfect if each streetteam could agree with some pub or bar to do like a release party too or a promotion for the new album, I could totally make it in the pub I'm working in Spain!

As I said, I will ask him again tomorrow if there's a possibility to use the page as Finnish Streetteam. I guess it might be fine if it stay with "Crashdïet Army" and maybe in brackets then Finnish Streetteam. This sounds like a good solution to me. I guess most popular cities are Helsinki and Tampere. I lived in both and can say that for sure! Not sure about Turku or Vaasa or Jyväskylä...
Let's keep in touch about that!
