Also, for me as a writer it's quite satisfying to be able to post whatever I want without anybody else touching or having opinions about my text.
Therefore I'm asking you: Do you have a personal blog? What do you write about? Contribute with links in the comments. Maybe you're (just like me) writing in some other language, but Google Translate often provides understandable translations. We'll see how it works out.
I try to write down my thoughts at www.antonahlstrom.com , have a look if you want to.

They can be about everything: Cooking/Food, Travels, Aupair/Exchange, life in general, fashion blog/trends.
So I don't have a certain direction. What ever sounds good I read, having my favourite blogs I read daily/regulary,
I have been wrting a blog since 2010, or even longer.
I closed my old blog last year and started a new one as I felt it was time for a change. I was posting very regulary, but I became a bit lazy and I don't have a lot to tell, as I am mostely studying anyway

But who's interested in whatever bulls***: srslyawesome.blogspot.fi/

I have a personal blog, where I mainly post art stuff, but also sometimes things I observe, feel, or think about too long. it's usually the way for me to get rig of thoughts I have bottle up for too long.
I write in english, so theres some mistakes, but I can't for the life of me write in german. it doesn't work. I don't know why, but I think maybe because I am too used to people thinking me weird because of the way i think sometimes, I used to be very closed up about it, and learning english gave me a new identity somehow, or maybe not a new, but a way to speak my mind without being afarid. it's kind weird.

Some of their statements can talk for themselves. One of them once said something about that she was gonna be president one day (yeah, innnorway. Don't know what she was gonna do with the royal family), and make everything pink. The worst part, I think she was serious. And lots of stuff like that. And they seem so fake (im sure that on some of those blogs, 75% of the posts is about hair extensions), they kinda reminds me of barbies.izzie wrote:

Some quotes from one of Swedens biggest bloggers (or the biggest, idk):
“Mycket klagade var det också över pengar, hur lite man har. Det hör jag aldrig bland mina vänner”
"Alot of complaining about money, how little one has. I never hear that amongst my friends"
“Egentligen tycker jag att om de har begått ett brott som i de flesta fall görs av vuxna ska de få samma straff som om de hade varit vuxna.”
"I think that if they've comitted a crime that in most cases is done by adults, they should get the same sentence as adults gets."
“Päls har i alla århundraden använts för att värma människor när det är kallt. Varför ska vi sluta upp med det nu?
Det är som att säga att vi ska sluta äta kött för att man kan leva på bönor.”
"Fur has always been used to give warmth to people when it's cold. Why should we suddenly stop using it?
It's like saying that we should stop eating meat because you can live on beans."
“folket som röstar blått är antaligen mer pålästa”
"people who vote "right wing" is probably more educated"
“Ni lär ju inte svälta i detta bidragsland men det är orättvist mot barnet att få växa upp i en sån familj där man får vända på varenda liten krona.”
"You most likely won't starve in this welfare country but it's unfair for the child to have to grow up in a family that has to turn their pockets inside out to get by."
This was just a few. Don't worry, she and many other sucessful swedish bloggers have more of these...

I actually do have a blog..
I mainly post things that's on my mind and shows I've been too and such things.
I'm not always active on a daily or weekly basis, I simply update whenever I feel like it.

if this should be a critique on blogs, then thats a bit.. idk.
I mean these blog get big because people read them, not the other way around. There a shitload of bad magazines read by a shitload of people. It doesn't make the majority of magazines bad. there are still alot of smaller and independ and brilliant magazines out there. Fifty shades of grey is one of the most read books right now. You wouldn't even dream of reconsidering the media book because of that.
I think people who are critical towards blogs aree just scared of a new medium. Yeah, there are some pathetic and stupid blogs out there, I'd even say the majority is, but if you'd pupish old journals it wouldnt sound much better.
The only difference is, of all the bad written material that is and has been existen for a long time, you actually get too read it.

As in the example above, there is almost a character that the writer is playing. Or maybe in this case it actually is. Peoples emotions are woken by it, and that is the point, isn't it? Therefore it's the correct behavior to me. You are able to put in whatever you want into the story you are telling, and that is to me the beatuy of it.
Also, I tend to find blogs more interesting than novels these days. When I read a book, I often feel that I want to skip a whole lot of pages to get to the "core" of the story. A blogger are much more able to tell the story straight to you, if you get what I mean.

Well it's of course not critique to blogs or bloggin, I love that anyone can share and make their voice heard through this medium.
It's critique mostly directed to the people. Like you said, they are big because of the people and I simply brought up that I wanna punch the non thinking people in their face. And of course it was critique against those big bloggers who spread stupidity and help making the world a worse place to live in. And I just felt I needed to bring that shit up, because I'm rather fucking tired of it. That's all.

izzie wrote: But are they really "non thinking"? Their idea to provocate is by far not original, but it sure seems to work as a tool to reach their goal: to get a whole lot of readers. If she's (in your example) serious it's of course alarming, but from the quite advanced language and imagery she's using I seriously doubt that.
Well you don't need to think much at all to know that that kind of posting gets readers. I seriously doubt she's anything but serious, unfortunately.
