Instagram

From Wikipedia:
"Instagram is a free photo sharing program launched in October 2010 that allows users to take a photo, apply a digital filter to it, and then share it on a variety of social networking services, including Instagram's own."

Well this new social media has become widely popular, what do you think of it? Many people are being ironic about it and claims that it's for hipsters and such. Personally I think it's great, I've got a big interest for social medias in general and I don't see why it should be "hated" by some people.

Do you use it? What's your usename?

I think Instagram is a pretty cool idea, it's a good way to share your photos with people all over the world so I use it (-> my username is sandysikk )

Funnily enough, I did think about making this thread, haha.

I actually really love it. I remember when I first saw the photos and I wanted one - only to find out it was iPhone exclusive, . I was so happy when it finally came to Android earlier this year! .

I don't see why it gets so much hate, either.

I really like that it's just photo sharing for photo sharing's sake. And the filters are so pretty! I've used Android Instagram-wannabes before (such as PicPlz) and nothing is even close to making photos look so nice . I just wish my phone camera wasn't so grainy, haha.

My feed is nothing awesome, though, haha. But, I'm XiLaii on there, in case anyone is interested .

haha photography is such a touchy thing. Although I've not even encountered someone who thinks Instagram makes them a photographer, I've encountered hundreds of people who think that's the way everyone sees it. .

Well, The meme should really say "good photographer" or "talented photographer".
What I'm pointing out is that I've seen WAY TOO MANY instagram photos where the photo isn't good, but the person uploading it seem to think so because they made one click and put on a filter

I have to agree with XiLaii here. But maybe I just follow the "wrong" people.

It actually always bothered me that they didn't have a web interface for it. The one you shared looks much better than the one I've been using for a while now, though (www.ink361.com).

I have no experience with it, but I've been thinking of getting it just so I can follow people (the same reason why i have tumblr haha). Does it just work at phones and stuff?

They just released a web interface, but there a lot of third-party sites that works better in my opinion.

I'm using www.gramfeed.com/ for example.

I love/hate it. I like to use it, filters can spice up an otherwise dull shot... but I hate that most people use it to take breakfast/lunch/dinner snapshots. I don't wanna know what people eat at whatever time of the day XD

I like it because it makes it really easy to put pics online and share everywhere but i dont use the filters that much
