I'm a proud vegetarian as well. You will always meet alot of resistance because of your choice, even from your own parents... Don't let them grind ya down and keep believing in what YOU think is right. And never forget to rock like fuck on yer way

EDIT: If you wanna survive as a vegetarian you really have to do lot's of reading about how to get all the nourishment and shit you need. You don't have to eat pillz as long as you know what to eat. And this subject is to big to cover in a single post here so I'll recommend you to google for it if you don't have friends with the same opinions in this matter.

exactly. To milk the cow is just good for it! And it wouldn't be good for the hen if she doesn't do her eggs either. But I think it's the way they treat the animals that irritate the vegans. I think that they don't drink milk from a cow who's not free or sumthing.

vegetarians are a bit more relaxed upon those concerns and they do drink milk and dairy products if there's no real damage for the animal.
but i think that one shouldn't be vegetarian or vegan just because it's cool..
that's a philosophy and a lifestyle and as everything else it should be done because you believe on it, not just because it's fashion or cooler to say i'm a veggie..
my opinion, anyway.

It wouldn't easy be any kind of vegetarian 'cos I'm still livin' home and my others of my family eat meat and I think they won't give up that. If we have some red meat or chicken for dinner, I have to eat even I don't want to 'cos my parents force do that.

But still this is very seldom since I prefer to know that I don't eat something that was alive some time ago...
So, to your question, Glam-Metal94: I mostly eat soup, bread, cheese and vedgetables, something like that. And I live well with that

I not agree. Animals are killed because we need them to be alive. We do like others animals do, too.
For example, a wolf kills a rabbit just because without him, he wouldn't be alive. Snakes eat rats, polar bears eat seals, whales eat other fishes. All the same just for one reason. Being alive.
We do the same: just to survive.
I'm not vegetarian. For me, eating a big entrecote, almost raw and red coloured inside with some french fries, is something similar to Paradise xD.
Nothin' more.
Being cruel with animals just 'coz of having fun disgusts me very much. Killing the animals ONLY because on their skin makes me sad. This kind of cruel things makes me to be ashamed of being Human.
But I need to eat meat to live, I need vegetables to live, I need milk, eggs, water to live. Everything is healthy for us if we eat properly.
Just my opinion ^^
Anyway, I wouldn't be able to live without the spanish cured ham, the iberic rump steak and other types of food made of pig. :grin:_____

Basically what you said is what I tried to explain with getting meat from the local farmers....
True, animals kill each other because they need something to eat. And in the early days of us humans we did the same...hunting, killing, eating. Reason: Hunger.
But today? Most meat you get is from animals who had been going through pain and torture right from the start of their poor lives. Held in cages, without any sanitary, no chance to live a "normal" life before they get killed. And then...? They are being transported in big trucks, without any water, without any space between them, many die a cruel death. Even if they survive that, they are being killed in masses, it happens often that they aren't really dead when the skin is being ripped off.
This is what I meant when I said I can't support animal torture. A cow and a pig do feel pain just like us human beings.
But, when the meat is from a local farmer that I know personally, I know that the animal has been living on green grass outside in the nature, and got killed fast, properly and without pain. This is the only way I can accept meat.
But still I prefer not to eat anything that has been alive somewhen....that's just me

exactly, i mean...if ya somehow get lost in the woods or a freakin' jungle or sumthin' completly alone and helpless, there are many chances to get eaten by a wolf or any other animal.... and there's no judgement or forgiveness for them, HELL NO!!!, it's survival....us , humans, got the hability to "think" or else and to destroy this fukkin world and we sukk coz of that, but now, that some ppl hate us just coz we ate a fukkin chicken or cow or anything....it fukkin suxx!!!

If I got lost somewhere with little chance of surviving, I'd probably be able to eat human flesh.
But fortunately, we live in the so-called "civilized world" and we have so much choice on food.
I'm not vegetarian, but if I have to choose between a pizza with meat and a vegetarian pizza I choose the veg one.
I can't stand to see how animals are treated just to produce more and more income. Battery hens and animals in cages who will were born to make meat and nothing else. They are never let to go outside in the sun, not once in their life. This makes me so sick.
And the thing that makes me even more sick is that there are people who still (in the 21st century) talk about getting lost in the "freakin' jungle".
Please.

Killing animals 'coz they're necessary to live is a good thing. Just because they're part of our diet (of course, not in vegeterian people

killing animals 'coz of having fun, skin business or another kind of that fukkin' shit... THAT is a shame, dingy and really pathetic.

Please, don't make a battleground of this post xD. ahahahah!!

The important thing is to do what yerself believe in.

you are claiming to be free and do whatever you want and then you are the first one going barking on those who do what they want to do and fight for what they believe it's true. You should read more and open your mind a bit more so that you can actually understand vegetarians. It's too easy to get to the topic "oh we kill animals to survive, cause a cat kills a mouse too and none blames them" That is NOT true and everyone in their healthy mind knows that. It's more than proven that human beings can live perfectly without meat of any kind and without killing animals. Fortunately our society has MANY things to keep us well fed, healthy and alive.
but like peter said, discussing this matter with meat eaters leads to nowhere.

) I enjoy with that kind of dishes.
I think all these things depend of your culture/country and of course what Peter has said: yourself.
