How did you discover Crashdïet?

2005 Finish radio played Riot In Everyone, and i was completley fuckin' floored....got out and bought Rest In Sleaze when it was released...

I discovered them....about 1 year ago.
First I've seen Generation wild's video because it was on the list of the recommended on Youtube, then Riot in everyon'se video and at the end In the raw's video... :=D

I just clicked on a link on youtube, which showed me an acoustic performance of Chemical in Melbourne and from that point on, I loved them.

Well i was reading something on a music website and on one side of the page i saw a note about the new singer, it was 2008 i think... then i looked up for them and searched some videos on youtube, that's all

Mine was rather boring when I read yours . I first saw them life on Wacken. More by accident for I originally just wanted to see the next Band. I couldn´t even remember anymore which one that was . Crashdiet just flashed me. The music, the performance and their appearence where just so great! But like it always is after Wacken...I forgot their name. There are always new bands I tried to remember but never can XD (never could remember names quite good). A year later Idiscover them again by accident by clicking randomly around on youtube and remember that great show. I felt in love with their music instantly and did what I never did before...ordered two albums of them at once . I can´t stop listening to their music since I´ve got those CD´s . It was kind of life changing for me, because it has give me more courage to be truly myself and show it everyone even outside my flat .
The only thing I regret is that afterwards I recognize that I saw them running around on Wacken. I think it was at the bull riding. I´m not quite sure, but there are not many people running around like them, right ? What a pitty anyway! But since I didn´t knew them at that time I missed the chance to talk directly to them and get a signature XD. Well, shit happens .

I discovered Crashdiet 2 years ago. Found them on youtube, Riot in everyone was the first song (and video) I heard of them

So following that path of thinking, there are more good results of him not being in a band anymore than we could probably expect . Many Reckless fans are interested about his previous years for sure.

Haha fair enough . Nothing against them though, they're fun and seem to like what they're doing so all good .

Was in 2008 when I joined my boyfriend ( at the time) to a concert at Manifesto Bar in 2008 ( Sao Paulo).
The show was Crashdiet's and since then I don't stop listening. For now and then I have to thank that bastard for introducing me the band haha

Okay, dont hate me but i love Olli and his band so much, is such fun and easygoing, ive been to one of their gig and it has been a kinda party-all-night, one of the best ones in my life:)

hehe when i saw reckless love i made olli sign unattractive revolution and i was a bit afraid he wouldnt like that but he didnt mind at all, i like their shows and the other guys are also really nice, no reason to hate them. I get why some people dont like olli for his crashdiet past but lately those bands are sooo different and it was better for everyone that he left i guess. But i've also seen so many people wearing crashdiet gear while going to see reckless love, imagine what thats like for the other guys in that band xD (i think ppl get killed wearing reckless merch on a crashdiet gig )

I like him so much but i admit he didnt fit for Crashdiet, he's really better in RL as they got a completely different attitude and actually Simon is perfect for Crashdiet!

Dave was an old classmate, so that's why I took an interest in the band to begin with. They didn't sound too hot when they first started out though - I have that old demo they released, and I wasn't overly impressed. After that, however, I came across demos of "Riot in everyone" and "Tikket", and those pretty much sold it for me.

I love the first album. I was an instant fan after the first album. The second album... nah. It didn't really do it for me. Then with Generation Wild they won me back again. Great album, and Simon fits with the band like a glove.

I'm really curious about this new album. I'm sure there will be a few gems on it.

Been wanting to post my story for some time but never have the time hopefully this afternoon...

I was watching random videos on youtube. Then I found "Riot In Everyone" and became a fan

It was last year in mars, I was watching Animal Attraction by Reckless Love on facebook and I became a fan of Olli, so I wanted to know more about him and I saw that he was in a band called Crashdiet. I decided to watch Crashdiet videos and i went on youtube and I watch Generation Wild, then I became a big big fan of Crashdiet. And of course now I prefert Crashdiet than Reckless Love!!

It would have to be 2007 or 08...good ol Myspace days. I over saw 58 street teams for Dirty Penny and one of my European Street team leaders sent me a bootleg of a live show. - sadly it got eaten by the hard drive failure of 2010 lost a lot of good shit on that Hard Drive!

This is how I discovered Crashdiet.

My sister (Deborah) was a massive The 69 Eyes fan. She heard that 69 eyes were touring in March 2011, so she bought tickets for Manchester & Nottingham.

Later on, the support acts for The 69 Eyes was announced (Crashdiet and Hardcore Superstar). We watched this video of them:



It blew us away. We both agreed that HCSS + Crashdiet sounded a lot better.

So we heard some songs on YouTube from both of these bands. She later purchased GW on Amazon.

So... she went the gigs and was super impressed with Crashdiet + HCSS. (i didn't go because i didn't wanna see the 69 eyes) She got annoyed that Crashdiet didn't have a long set list.

Anyway, she told me that I should go see you guys live. About a couple of weeks before the Notts gig in April 2011 I got myself a ticket.

Obviously, I went to the gig @ basement.

Wow I actually had to think about this one, as I hardly remember a day without Crashdiet in my life!!

I believe it was back in 08-ish, I saw Riot in Everyone among my Youtube recommendations. I watched it, but wasn't quite hooked. It was a few months later when I watched "In the Raw" and decided to give more songs another chance. Needless to say, I've been hooked ever since! Listened to the first two albums for a long time before totally falling in love with Dave's work. I found the Demoz CD's online as well, and there are soooo many killer songs Dave made! RIS brother! Then I got Generation Wild right when it came out and I have The Savage Playground on preorder!

Sadly, I'm a US resident and only got to see Crash once when they came to NYC... but it was by far the best show of my life! Can't wait till they tour over here again and I will be getting the logo tattoo soon as well to show my dedication.
